Aries New Moon- Build your Dream
The New Moon in Aries, an annual event marks a beginning point for the Astrological year. This year it occurs on Wednesday morning, March 29th. It is a powerful time to set goals and envision what you want to have and do for the next year. Write out a list and narrow it to 10 or fewer items to give yourself focus and clarity. One simple way to empower your wishes is to declare them out loud and to invoke the names of appropriate planets 3 times and ask those archetypal functions for assistance:

Sun, Sun, Sun give me the vitality and self esteem to …
Moon – sensitivity, security, support from others
Mercury- ideas, connections, humor
Venus- artistry, balance, cooperation, pleasure
Mars- energy, assertiveness, courage
Jupiter- wisdom, adventurousness, ideals
Saturn- discipline, maturity, accountability
Uranus- innovation, brilliance, spontaneity
Neptune- intuition, grace, serendipity
Pluto- power, focus, transformation

Then, turn it all over to the Higher Spiritual Will in service for the good of all. Through the month, use the function of sight to visualize with the mind’s eye or literally to look at representations that symbolize or picture the events you aspire to create. Feel the good feelings you expect as your desires manifest. Have something Red to look at every day to remind you of your ritual and give you the fire to go for it.

I have done ceremony with the Aries New Moon for many years and I am always amazed how much of it comes to pass. You do have to allow for God’s sense of humor and divine timing.

This year the New Moon is in an eclipse, adding mystery and soul challenges to the imprint for the year.

Pluto on the Galactic Center

It is awe inspiring for any human being to gaze at the stars, and it is one of the reasons that getting out of our urban environments and connecting with nature is so refreshing. There is a place where the center of the Milky Way intersects the horizon that astronomers call the Galactic Center. This week, under the eclipse, Pluto slows, stations, and then appears to go backwards, at this point (26 degrees of Sagittarius). What does this mean?

Many astrologers say that humanity enters a new consciousness every time we discover another body orbiting our Sun. What insight does the black hole at the center of our galaxy impart? It is now being filtered through the lens of our planet of shadow, cleansing, and utter transformation. Pluto will return to this center next fall and twice in 2007 so we are in a process. Find an opportunity to get lost in the night sky. I would ask to be open to something vast that we don’t yet conceptualize but something in us knows.
